‘Big Wednesday’ inspiration.

Denny Abergg penned this short story called ‘ No pants Mance’ in the early 70s which was broadly about some of the antics Lance Carson got up to back in the 60s. He was very loose drinking, partying, causing trouble and having a good time. Anyway John Milius read it and being a surfer himself, worked it over with Denny and turned it into a movie called ‘Big Wednesday’. The rest is history it came out on the same week as ‘Star Wars’ so it had competition at the box office, but survived to become a cult classic.
